“On a practical level Sanita provided so much practical information, ideas and suggestions to meet the indivitual needs of myself and my husband. She was totally on board with the ideas and methods I wanted to employ for our home birth and was already very familiar with them. She provided excellent reading materials, dvd’s and massage oil to prepare us for our journey. On a spiritual level I felt Sanita was intuitive, sensitive and gifted. She uses a wide range of alternative methods to help give relive for different issues in pregnancy and child birth. Her knowledge base is surprisingly wide and diverse – which I found greatly inspiring and ever so useful. I felt emotionally and practically supported. I feel Sanita gave 100% and she has a deep connection to her calling as a Doula. I was just as cared for postnatally. We held a closing of the hips ceremony at home which Sanita led – wonderfully. She suggested it as a means of closing, healing and supporting. I was feeling very emotional after the birth transition and it helped so much. It helped me to move through difficult emotions and feel truly supported and cared for. When I think about my birthing experience Sanita was so central to it. I don’t know how we would have managed without her… and I cant say thank you enough. I now know the job of a doula requires many unique and varied skills.
