Nourishing and Honouring the mother
Crossing the threshold from maiden to mother is a huge undertaking that not only needs to be recognised but it should be honoured for the sacred rite of passage it is. Every woman deserves to be welcomed into motherhood with nurturing touch, deep love, compassion and gentle care. In many cultures when a woman had birthed her baby, it was seen as a spiritual time that deserves extreme reverence, humility, deep holistic care and warmth that enables the new mama to truly heal and seal the birth process. Here in the west we have lost this art of sacred honouring and nurturing of our beautiful women, we have lost the knowledge of all has been passed down from our own mothers, grandmothers and so on. I use a number of Ayurvedic practices for postpartum wellbeing, from my own culture as well that of other indigenous cultures, honouring the wisdom of the wise grandmothers who have passed down their teachings at our session to acknowledge their wisdom.
What is Mother Warming?
Essentially mother warming honours the mother after pregnancy (including pregnancy loss) she herself is a wise woman/ caregiver/ doula/ mother who nurtures women while supporting their postnatal recovery and journey into motherhood.
I provide a menu of services to warm the new mother immediately after loss and birth (depending on the type/ stage of pregnancy during birth) while supporting her healing for postnatal recovery, each is bespoke to the mothers postpartum recovery needs. These are provided in the comfort of your own home.
As part of my home based service I offer some options to include may be a range of warming, sealing and closing practices as well as holistic herbal tinctures, herbal infused teas, birth reflection and tea ceremony, fear release, herbal sitz bath & compression pads, yoni steam herbs, salves, balms, massage oils, hot abdominal press using heated herbal oils, moxa, belly binding* & belly binding herbal paste, sealing ceremony or the closing the bones massage, as well as a home food service providing nourishing and healing foods for new mothers, including using my the energy boosting and restorative snack recipe of my ancestors.

- Sacred Mother: you will receive the full mother warming service as listed below (including birth journal and nurturing food* as per seasonal menu and a handmade heat pack with lavender) £1, 777 *the food service is dependent on your location and my availability

- Sacred recovery basics: Delivered to you as a select range of consciously combined products in the form of herbal teas, handmade salves/ balms (choose from the following; basic bum butter- great for sore bums, prana balm, soothing salve, black salve- great for first aid kit), herbal sitz bath, yoni steam herbs, rose infused abdominal massage oil, tinctures (choose from vital fire after pains tincture*, mother ease and mama pick me up tincture*) (from £195)
*the tinctures are currently included for free (subject to change), if you require non alcohol based ones these will be charged. I use methods as directed by a herbalist who specialises in postpartum care to create this remedies, and am also a qualified clinical aromatherapist. Please note a minimum of 6-8 weeks notice is required to prepare these.
- Sacred Postpartum healing: Warming oils and hot stones used in a targetted postpartum massage with cupping and lymphatic drainage for postpartum nurturing, 528 Hz facial with natural bio active products (nottnuit range), herbal solution prepared for your sitz bath/ compress pads, moxibustion, postpartum reflexology, Reiki/ energy healing, closing the hips abdominal massage, yoni steam -within first 40 days. (up to 4 hours | £444) optional extra for Infra Red Light sauna/ Biofield resonance scan*
- Sacred Ceremonial honouring: Herbal and ceremonial bath*- In different parts of the world women are cleansed and bathed after major rites of passage including getting married and having a child. Traditionally women would wait for a body bath until the end of their 40 days. This is also a beautiful ceremony for women who would like a rebirthing experience if their birth was not as they expected. This brings healing, closure and empowerment to postpartum women. This is offered as a cleansing foot bath or ceremonial bath either herbal or floral bath, herbal tea and fresh flower crown (up to 1.5 hours | £195)
- Sacred Closing the Hips ceremony: Birth reflection, guided meditation with medicine drum and closing the hips massage and full ceremony to close the circle of birth (up to 2 hours | £144)
- Sacred Closing and Reconnection: Closing the hips massage only (not ceremony) and the transformative postpartum Abdominal massage available at 12 weeks pp, as taught by Dr Rosita Arvigo and teaching if the self care massage. Package may also include one of the following: vaginal steam, moxibustion, ear seeds, energy healing and Maya spiritual healing, sacred rite of the womb transmission but is determined by the consultation and energy on the day (up to 3 hours | £333)
- Sacred Belly binding: Bengkung belly bind and warming piece x1 (both included), heated stones, Application of the heated herbal paste over abdominal area, moxa, hot stone abdominal press with warmed herbal oils (oil application and binding session included), provided in your home (1.5 hours | £195). Contraindications apply.
If you wish for a quantum or shamanic energy balance healing session, this is available for a special offer price of £75 in addition to any of the above services.

NB. travel expenses (mileage) and a call out fee of £25 apply if outside a 5 mile radius from my home area of TW12, outside of Greater London fee is £50.00.
