As your postnatal Doula my aim is to support you 100% in order to build your confidence in your new role providing you with the knowledge of postnatal recovery from an Ayurvedic perspective through healing foods and tonics, We can discuss the length of support required when we have our initial meeting.
It is my job to primarily to provide support and reassurance to you, whilst you look after and get to know your new baby. If you just require postnatal doula support, my service includes an initial meeting to understand what your needs are in the postnatal period and to get to know you.
Once we have met and if you decide I’m the right doula for your family, I will visit you at home after your baby is born and we will discuss your birth experience, as many times as you want. Discussing your birth experience is healing and nurturing and will allow you to process the significant life changing moments you have just experienced.
My role as postnatal doula is extremely varied but totally guided by your and your family’s needs. I offer support to parents with their baby, fitting in with their day. I will delight in holding your baby to offer you time to have a rest or take a much deserved shower. I can help by carrying out practical chores such as preparing lovely meal, light shopping and helping you to look after any siblings, this will enable you (and your partner) to get some rest, recover and spend time with your new baby.
